Many Canadian Business Leaders Care Deeply About Public Education

On March 20, 2014 Former Scotiabank President & CEO Rick Waugh hosted a CEO luncheon as his first official act as the new Chair of The Learning Partnership’s Corporate Advisory Board.
 
Held at Scotiabank and co-hosted by The Learning Partnership’s President and CEO, Akela Peoples, the luncheon welcomed more than a dozen Canadian business leaders to engage in meaningful conversation about the work of The Learning Partnership and public education in Canada.
 



Along with Mr. Waugh, the following Presidents and CEOs attended:

In addition to these senior business leaders, Ontario Minister of Education, Liz Sandals, President of York University, Mamdouh Shoukri and President of Humber College, Chris Whitaker, as well as The Learning Partnership’s Board Chair Ken Fredeen (Deloitte), also attended the March 20 session.
