Leadership Institutes

Leadership is critical for success in this globally competitive and complex environment.  The Learning Partnership has partnered with the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto to build leadership and management capacity among our publicly funded educational leaders.

Entrepreneurial leaders are the core critical success factor for all enterprises in globally competitive and complex operating environments. Finding and developing successful leaders is a challenge common to all private and public sector organizations. The best development vehicles for leaders are the lessons of personal experience drawn from the orchestration of advanced learning environments, through which meaningful dialogues with colleagues become valuable learning opportunities. The Learning Partnership believes this to be true also for the leaders within the public education system. Leadership recognition and professional development of educational leaders from principals to directors of education -- are critical components that will ultimately contribute to a stronger public education system.

Directors of Education and Principals communicating a compelling vision, providing instructional leadership, nurturing an innovative spirit, and with the management expertise to achieve strategic impact, all help create an environment that leads to increased student success rates and a stronger education system.
