South Grenville District High School will be offering an Interdisciplinary Education for All (IDEA) for their Grade 9 students

South Grenville District High School (SGDHS) is a grades 7-12 school with 700 Students. SGDHS is located in the small town of Prescott located approximately 100km south of Ottawa. They are launching for their grade nine students in September 2014 the IDEA Project, Interdisciplinary Education for All. 

South Grenville District High is very excited to be able to offer a truly innovative approach to education for their grade 9 students. The new program, the IDEA Project, will be taught by teachers working in collaboration with each other and the students to develop projects solve complex problems and engage in a remarkable cross-curricular classroom experience. The aim of the new program is to provide their students with the greatest possibility of success in not only credit attainment, but also in the areas of problem solving, critical thinking, literacy development and co-operation/collaboration, all skills necessary for success in the 21st century. The students will have access to the IDEAS room. This is a new facility within South Grenville in which the students will be able to generate ideas and problem solve.

No other school within Eastern Ontario will be able to provide this unique learning environment where students will be able to completely engage as a 21st century learner. South Granville’s students and teachers will fully embrace 21st century technology as an integral part of the classroom experience.
