The Learning Partnership is pleased to join Canada Learning Code and Code.org in celebrating Hour of Code, a global initiative held in December to introduce youth to coding and to promote the field of computer science.
Thousands of students across the country are being exposed to coding in schools through Coding Quest, Canada’s largest classroom-based coding program. Developed by The Learning Partnership last year, the experiential learning program challenges students to develop and code their own video games from within their classrooms. Coding Quest is one example of how students are being introduced to coding and learning key digital skills to further prepare them for an increasingly technology-driven and globalized workforce.
Established by Code.org, Hour of Code takes place during Computer Science Education Week from December 4 to 10, 2017. To help spread the word, visit the Hour of Code website.
