“What does a typical day look like? What skills or qualities should I have if I want to work at Deloitte?”
A “typical” day varies at Deloitte based on if you are working in a client-facing service line or an internal service line. Personally, I am in audit (client-facing) and my typical day includes communicating with the client, documenting my work, connecting with my team to problem solve, and helping my colleagues succeed.
I am also part of our Ontario People Council (internal) and I help put together amazing initiatives for our Deloitte staff to connect, learn, and have fun!
If you want to succeed at Deloitte, it’s important to have a desire to grow and be adaptable. There are many opportunities available at Deloitte and your desire to grow will allow you to meet new people, work with new clients, and take on new projects. However, the way we work has changed with the “work from home” situation and therefore being adaptable is important to help you succeed while you pursue new opportunities.
