Job title:

National Account Manager

In high school, I would have been voted most likely to:

NOT pursue a singing career!

The skills I rely on most in my role:

Q: What is your advice to high school students who are unsure of what they want to do in the future? What helped you decide what kind of career you wanted?

A:  I’d like for you to know that it’s okay to not know or feel 100 per cent confident in what career path you’re destined for. As you gain more life experiences, you will gain more insight into your true likes and dislikes. Who you are today is not necessarily who you will be in five to ten years so learn as you go, embrace new experiences and keep an open mind.
I wanted to be a teacher in high school, mainly because it is what I was most familiar with. However, I realized in my Grade 12 year that I wanted to explore something different. Trying to keep as many career options open for my future, I decided that a degree in business would suit me best. I started my university degree thinking I would major in accounting but trusted my gut throughout and switched to major in marketing. This led me to the great career I have today in sales.
