The Learning Partnership’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Debra D. Kerby as President & CEO, effective January 7, 2019.
Ms. Kerby is an accomplished leader blending international experience and entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for unleashing the powerful potential of teams and organizations for long-term impact.
She has held numerous leadership roles advocating for children and education, most recently as President & CEO of Canadian Feed The Children, during which time she championed the delivery of increasingly significant and measurable impact in social change for youth and the communities in which they live. A proud graduate of the Canadian public education system, Ms. Kerby is passionate about the power of business-education collaborations to transform communities and the world. Her international experience spans private and non-profit sectors, designing global program partnerships and foundational fundraising initiatives to bring thought leadership and donor support to educate and empower children facing adversity.
The Learning Partnership has a 25-year history of catalyzing cross-sector collaboration to deliver high-impact programs for students. In 2018, we renewed our strategic focus around experiential student programming that cultivates entrepreneurial thinking and innovation and supports social-emotional learning. With the support of the Board, leadership team, and the dedicated staff of The Learning Partnership, Ms. Kerby is committed to leading the organization with this vision, to prepare Canadian students to tackle the issues of today and solve tomorrow’s challenges with creativity, resilience and pride.
The Learning Partnership’s Board thanks James Politeski for his leadership and strategic guidance as Interim President & CEO. James will continue championing The Learning Partnership and its mission and as he returns to his position on the Board of Directors.
