30 principals from schools across the country were honoured tonight by The Learning Partnership at a reception celebrating Canada’s Outstanding Principals 2019. It was a sold out event at the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon in Toronto, where more than 350 people gathered to recognize this year’s recipients.
The CN Tower was lit up in The Learning Partnership’s colours to welcome family, friends, colleagues and peers who had travelled from near and far for the 15th annual awards celebration.
Debra D. Kerby, President and CEO of The Learning Partnership, and emcee for the evening, thanked the principals for their unique service to the education sector. She acknowledged members of the National Academy of Canada’s Outstanding Principals also in attendance, as well as senior leaders in education, government and business, for their continued and collaborative efforts in advancing public education across Canada.
The night showcased the contributions of each of this year’s recipients to their schools and communities and lauded them for excellence in education leadership. Principals shared touching stories of some of their proudest moments and their drive behind championing student achievement. The Learning Partnership is extremely grateful to our national partner of the Canada’s Outstanding Principals program, CIBC, as well as provincial and territorial governments across Canada, for their generous support.
