Take Our Kids to Work Day helps teachers and educators bridge real-world experiences with learning in the classroom. The day is an opportunity for teachers to make connections between education and future career paths. Through Take Our Kids to Work Day, educators are able to provide their students with an experiential learning opportunity that supports student exploration of various fields and sectors, and as well encourages early discovery of the workforce.

What can students expect on Take Our Kids to Work Day?

  • Students will participate in a range of activities that will vary depending on the workplace they visit.
  • Students will receive presentations from employees working in different fields within the organization.
  • Students will have the opportunity to learn from different professionals about various career paths available within any sector.
  • Students can expect their workplace host to take them on a tour of the workplace.
  • Students will be able to ask their workplace host questions about their role, field/sector, or questions relating to the organization as a whole.
  • Teachers can provide students with the opportunity to present their Take Our Kids to Work Day experience to their class, following the event.
